Episode #497~ Stampin' Up! 4th of July Scrapbook/ Combo Layout

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe it's 4th of July weekend already? Yippee!!! I love the 4th and it's also our daughter's birthday weekend too ~ Lots of celebrating will be going on in the Meyer household!

With that comes plenty of photo opportunities and loads of pictures that will go into our annual family scrapbook. Since I am a traditional scrapbooker at heart, I usually create 12 x 12 double page spreads in order to get as many photos on my layout as possible without looking to crowded. Project Life though has become a staple in my everyday scrapbooking as I enjoy combining the two styles into one layout!

Making my own designed paper and pocket cards is really fun and a great way to personalize my layout and make them my own. It's also a great way to use up scrap pieces of cardstock and any extra die cuts I may have laying around from card projects like these that I used here.

My personal challenge for this summer is to get caught up on my albums, I am only up to March of 2015 and it really drives me crazy. I've got a lot to get done but I am determined to make it happen! Why don't you join me? If you are behind and need an extra push - I am challenging YOU to set your mind to it and lets do this together!

Episode # 450 ~ Shabby Lamp Shade & Scrapbook Lay-Outs

Hi Everyone,

Happy Sunday and I hope you have had a relaxing weekend! Today I am sharing the darling Shabby Lampshade I made a few months ago (no tutorial, sorry...) butI did take pictures and have done a lay-out showing step-by-step how I made it. It really has SO much character and everyone always asks about it when they are in my craft room.

In addition to the brief explanation of that, I also share some of the scrapbook pages I have been working on. I am finally getting to see the end of 2014 and somehow need to make it fit into 2 albums! I really feel like my pages put the viewer into the moment, not just looking at pictures. At least that's what I try to create, don't we all???

Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them for you and have a peaceful rest of your Sunday.

Episode # 439 ~ February 2015 Hip Kit Club Lay-out

Hi Guys,

Well, I did it... I joined two scrapbooking kit clubs this past week! I am super excited and can't wait to get caught up on all my scrapbooking. I signed-up for Clique Kit and also Hip Kit Club - It's in hope that if I have "kits" coming each month, maybe I'll be less likely to go shopping all the time. We can all hope can't we??? LOL!

This is just one of many double page layouts I hope to complete, it should be interesting to try and figure out how to stretch a single page of patterned paper ( you only get one of each design in the HCK) to do a bunch of double page lay-outs. I do a lot of those and I also put more than one picture on a page. I try to fit 3 maybe even 4 pictures on a page.

If you have any suggestions on stretching a single sheet to make 2 pages, please share your ideas with me, I'd love to hear your ideas.

Episode 424 ~ Scrapbooking with Perfect Layers

Hi Everyone & Happy Sunday,

We are getting ready for yet another Open House today so I wanted to quickly share this video with all of you before we head out the door. As many of you know, I have been seriously trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking & this is a double page spread of my family.

I used the Perfect Layers cutting guides to layer my pictures, which is my least favorite thing to do in scrapbooking. It used to take me forever to get the layers perfect, but these guides really make it quick & simple, yippee!!! Now layering isn't such a hassle & I actually like to mat all my pictures now...

Hopefully this will encourage other scrappers to mat those photos & explain how to use the guides, I wasn't sure how to use them when I first got them.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend & happy scrapping crafty friends

Episode #422 ~ S.S.S. #34 Scrapbooking Layouts

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends,

Boy, I have finally made some progress on my mad attempt to get caught up on my scrapbooking pages! I have finished my daughter's Prom pictures from 2012 as well as the pictures from her Sweet 16 party... what a relief! I am used to always being current & up-to-date on all of my pages, so this is really making me crazy being 2 years behind.

Thank you for stopping by & taking some time to watch my video, enjoy the rest of your Sunday. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Episode #407 ~ Scrapbook Layout Using Penny Black Stamp

Hi Scrappy Friends,
I hope you are all enjoying this long weekend with your families & friends! Perhaps you are getting some crafting done, we are getting lots of rain, so it's perfect for scrapping. I am trying to get caught up, but I've lost some pictures due to my phone getting wet when we were in Niagara Falls this summer, rats! My scrubby promises me that he will figure out a way to get those pictures back, we'll see...
I used a really cute Penny Black stamp for my accent piece on this double page layout, I bought it awhile ago & was just waiting to use on our daughters Sweet 16 pictures. With my Copic markers, I was able to color the gown pretty darn close to the color of her gown, so that was really fun!
Have a great rest of your weekend,

Episode 284 ~ "Use It or Lose It" # 15 Scrapbooking

Hi crafty friends,
Happy Sunday everyone... I hope you weekend was relaxing & you were able to spend time with your families & friends! I am trying to get caught up on all my scrapbook pages, it drives me crazy being a 1 1/2 behind! Aaaarrgghhh! I am on a mission now & also to use all the goodies I have on hand. Shopping has taken a backseat to completing projects for me, but I did recently place a Stampin' Up! order. I've really been trying hard to use what I have & not shopping for eveything new. I am not saying that shopping isn't fun & theraputic, but I want to use all the scrappy goodness I have invested in. I think you know what I mean... Anywoo, have a great rest of your Sunday evening & I hope you have a fabulous week. Thanks for watching!
Huggs,

Episode 284 ~ "Use It or Lose It" # 15 Scrapbooking

Happy Sunday my sweet friends,
I hope you are are relaxing & enjoying the day with family & friends. I sure am & planning on getting more scrapbooking done! In today's video, I share how I put pages together quickly using paper & products that I have on hand. "Use It or Lose It" is definately my motto & I challenge you to do the same! I am not saying shopping for new "goodies" isn't fun & theraputic, but it's important to use the "goodies" we have previously purchased. Have a blessed day & happy crafting!

Episode #249 ~ "Whale" of a Time Scrapbook page Pt. 2

Hi Everybody,
Happy Friday my crafty friends!!! I am getting some scrapbooking done & thought I would share with you what I am working on. I am really trying to get caught up & am a year behind! This is driving me ccCcCrrRraaAZzZYYy!!! I've NEVER been so far behind & it is really an overwhelming feeling. But, if I keep moving forward, I will get caught up.
In this 2 part video, I used the "Life's A Beach" Cricut cartridge & some fun "splash" paper. I hope this gives you some ideas for summer page layouts.
Happy scrappin',
